The Marshfield School Based Health Center is again offering the H1N1/Swine flu vaccine. All children and young adults age 6 months through 24 years are in the priority population to be immunized. Only one dose of nose spray (or one shot) is required for children who are 10 years or older. The vaccine should protect you from the flu within 8-10 days. However, children younger than 10 years will require a second dose in about 30 days.

The clinic in the Harding Building is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9-4 and on Tuesday afternoons from 1-3. The vaccine is free and available to all Coos Bay School District students. Parents do not need to be present for the immunization; however, parental signature is required for children 14 years and younger.
