If you need help to quit smoking, there will be a class offering incentive, information and support! The cost for 8 classes is $15 and these classes will cover court requirements. The first class will be on Wednesday, November 18 and will continue every Wednesday through January 20th and be held during 2nd/6th blocks. You can sign up in the Dean's office.

The Health Department will be here on Thursday, November 19th, in the Marshfield cafeteria, to administer H1N1 (swine flu) vaccines from noon to 2:30 pm. Only students that have a signed consent form at school will be immunized on that day. If you previously turned in a consent form and you have already received an H1N1 vaccine, please notify themain office. On that day, 3rd and 4th period teachers will direct students to report to the cafeteria at a certain time.

Talent Search Freshmen and Sophomores will be taking a trip to the Hatfield Marine and Science Center in Newport on Monday, November 23rd. The purpose of the trip is to learn about marine studies and careers in science. Space is limited, so see Mr. Winberg in room 137 for a permission slip. (run through 11/20)

We will be conducting a Pageant Boot Camp on November 21,2009. The exact location has yet to be confirmed. It will be an all day camp covering all areas of competition,preparation for competing,a complete inside look at our scholarship program,special guests,the opportunity to meet girls your age who share your desire in bettering themselves and compete for scholarship money for college,that you can access when you graduate. In order to compete, you must complete the Boot Camp.The cost of the camp is $200.00. The money generated from this camp goes directly into our scholarship account to go towards your scholarships.We encourage you to get sponsors for the camp fee. The day will also include lunch,snacks and a t-shirt. Pre-resgistration is required. Deadline for registration is November 18th. I can e-mail you the registration form. (thru 11/19)

· Our Boys Cross Country team finished 11th overall at the State Meet. A great season for our boys.
· Our girls volleyball made it to the State playoffs again this year. Super job girls.
· Our Football team is Hosting the first round of the State playoffs here this Friday night. We will be playing

We will be on an hour-long assembly schedule on Thursday, November 12 for class meetings. Our freshmen, sophomore and junior classes will stay with their 5th period teacher for the first 30 minutes of the assembly schedule and be excused at 9:45 to their class meetings. For the first 30 minutes of the assembly schedule, at the discretion of your teacher, the freshmen, sophomores and juniors can have the opportunity to go to other teachers to make up work. Seniors will be excused at 9:13 directly after the announcements and be expected to be in the auditorium by 9:20.
