STUDENTS

 

ATTENTION KNOWLEDGE BOWL FANS!

 

 

Students:  Find out who you are most compatible with in our school, meet someone new.  Fill out the "Computer Fun" survey-questionnaire in advisory class on Thursday, January 22nd.  It is no cost to fill this out.  Results will be back in time for Valentines Day.  They will be available in the main hall during lunch on the 12th and 13th. 1/22

 

Marshfield Driver Education begins Monday, January 12th , today. 1/15

 

Students – there was a watch found in the weight room on Monday 1/5.  Please come to Pirate Hall to claim.1/14

 

Students - I have received numerous complaints from our neighbors concerning students trespassing on their private property.  Trespassing on private property is a crime, (Criminal Trespass), and many neighbors have given me the authority to arrest people who trespass on their property.  Please show our neighbors respect, and stay off of their property.  Popular hang outs such as the "Cigarette Hut," "Smoker's Shack," "The Smoke Hole," etc, are off limits.   You have been forewarned.  Thank you for your cooperation.  - Officer Labrousse

 

 

Students

A new group has started, on Monday’s at Lunchtime for students dealing with family members, who use alcohol or drugs.  The group will be a confidential and safe place to bring together a small group of students with similar problems to get information, skills and for peer support.  If you are interested in participating contact your counselor (Mr.. Ferrin, Mr.. Miles or Ms. Skinner) or Susan Chappelear at 267-1336 for further information.

ATHLETES

"Preseason workouts for Pirate track and field have begun.  The coaches and captains invite all interested Marshfield students to join the workouts, learn an event, and become part of a great tradition.  No previous experience required.  Meet under the stands at the stadium Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm."   .Meet under the stands, rain or shine ...1/30

COLLEGS

 Talent Search Juniors and Seniors: Talent Search will be taking students interested in Southern Oregon University to Ashland on Jan. 16th & 17th for a campus visit. See Mr. Winberg in room 137 to sign up.1/17

 

College bound Seniors: Talent Search Coordinator, Neil Winberg, will be in his office (room 137) after school on Mondays through Thursdays until 4:30 pm. He would be happy to help answer any questions or provide advice concerning college applications, FAFSA, or scholarships. 1/23

 

Seniors wanting scholarships and/or applying to colleges should attend one of the financial aid sessions in the MHS library computer lab.  Students will need to bring a completed FAFSA worksheet.  Staff members will be able to assist students in the filing process on:

                Tuesday, Jan. 13th from 8am-12pm

                Thursday, Jan. 15 @ 6:30pm

                Tuesday, Feb. 10th @6:30pm

 

Calling ALL SENIORS!!!  There is now a "Senior Corner" when you walk into student services.  The "Senior Corner" provides IMPORTANT information about deadlines, scholarship applications, SAT, ACT and much more!!  Take advantage of the information there and CHECK IT REGUARLY FOR UPDATES!!!
