The School Store will be CLOSED Wednesday-Friday this week. We will be open normal hours starting next Monday.

 

"Yahweh's Daughters will have a mandatory meeting for all members who plan on attending Acquire the Fire in Portland.  Meet in PH600 tomorrow, April 1st, during lunch."   Thompson (3/31-4/1)

         

Seniors!  Order your senior tee-shirt NOW!  Shirts will be grey with a purple and gold class-of-09 design and cost $15 each.  Turn your order form and money into the main office by Friday, April 3.  Extra order forms are available from the main office or Mrs. Danielson.  (Danielson   3/31, 4/1, 4/2, 4/3)

 

Attention JUNIORS and SENIORS:  Prom is scheduled on May 16th in the Main Gym from 8:00-11:30pm.  The theme is Midnight Sky, and the cost is $30/couples $20/singles.  If you wish to bring a date that is not a MHS student you must apply for a visitors pass through the Dean’s office before the 15th of May.  Tickets will go on sale the week of the prom during lunch.   (Bunnell, 4/1-20)

 

 

The American Red Cross will be here next Wednesday, April 8th, to host our annual blood drive.  If you plan on donating, please remember to eat plenty of iron rich foods and to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water several days prior to the drive.  If you have already signed up remember to turn in your paperwork to Mrs. Ice in student services.  If you are 16 this will include a parental consent packet.  You also need to remember to bring some kind of picture ID on the day of the drive.  If you are interested in donating and haven’t signed up yet, please see as ASB member or Mrs. Ice in student services.

VARSITY FOOTBALL PLAYERS:  If you did not receive your varsity pin at the awards dessert in December  please see Mrs. Reiber in Pirate Hall.

 

VARSITY BOYS SOCCER PLAYERS: If you did not receive your varsity pin this past fall at the awards dessert please see Mrs. Reiber in Pirate hall.

STUDENTS INTERSTED IN BABE RUTH BASEBALL:  Registration for Babe Ruth Baseball is taking place next week.  Look for flyers on the walls at school.  Some tryouts begin, April 26, 2009 and you must be registered by April 19th to tryout.  Come to the Athletic office in Pirate Hall for more information or a registration package.  (3/30-4/6-8)

 

SUMMER HOST FAMILY NEEDED FOR Japan-Oregon exchange program.  Your family can reap some of the benefits of international travel right at home. The Oregon 4-H Japanese Exchange Program provides this opportunity by inviting you to be a host family for its’ inbound program.  The home stays are short, summer ones.  The Japanese delegates come for just one month, running from about July 23 through August 19.  More information about this program is available from your County Extension 4H office at 572-5263 or Vickie Earl at 396-4748   (3/30-4/3)

 

NEXT DRIVER’S EDUCATION CLASS will be held from April 7th – June 2nd on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-6pm.  Additional information and registration forms are available in the main office.    (3/30-4/7)

 

SOCC advisors will be on MHS campus on Monday, April 1st.   All students interested in attending SOCC can sign up or find out more information in the counseling office. (Student Services 3.12.09 to 4.1.09)

 

VISIONS 2009 JURIED ART SHOW call for entries!  Three winners will receive 2-year tuition waivers from SOCC- based on your art entry NOT on grades or current year in school.  Freshmen can win as easily as Seniors! Your art can speak for its self.  Deadline for MHS prescreening of entries is Thursday,  APRIL 2, 2009.  See Mr. Jacobson in the art room #46 for details and entry form.  (Jacobson, run 3/9-4/1)
