MHS will hold their First Annual Memorial Day Assembly on this Friday, May 28th in the main gym.  We will be following a one hour assembly schedule and will be honoring all those who have served our country, with special honor going to those who became fallen veterans of war.  There will be speeches and performance by Marshfield students.

------

Coos Bay  School District will offer a free summer lunch program for anyone age 2 to 18 years old.  No paperwork needed, just show up at either Blossom Gulch or Madison Elementary School between 11:15am to Noon from June 21st to August 13th.

The Madrala Players present

Tom Stoppard's

The Real Inspector Hound

Tom Stoppard’s one act play revels in absurdism and satirizing the popular British whodunits (Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is most obviously parodied by deliberately giving away the ending, though of course the producers of Christie's play could not publicly object without drawing even more attention to the fact.)

The plot follows two theatre critics named Moon and Birdboot who are watching a ludicrous setup of a standard country house murder mystery; by chance they become involved in the action causing a series of events that parallel the play they are watching.  It is a masterful example of metatheatre (theatre ABOUT theatre).
