Knowledge Bowl 9/3-9/5

If you enjoy facts, figures and friendly competition, you'll love Knowledge Bowl! See Mr. Hill (in PH 400) or Ms. Swain (in PH 502) for more information

A group of five Knowledge Bowl students will participate in the televised Academic Challenge competitions this year. Try outs for the Academic Challenge will take place on FRIDAY of THIS WEEK (September 5) in Mr. Hill's room at lunch or after school. You will need to show up to Room 400 on time -- the BEGINNING of lunch, or RIGHT after school -- to try out for Academic Challenge. All students are welcome!
School Store:
The School Store will not be open until Monday, September 15th. Stay tuned for more information regarding the changes coming to the menu and clothing sold in the school store. 9/12

Talent Search:
Talent Search Seniors who plan on taking the October, 4th, 2008, SAT Test need to come to room 137 to complete the fee waiver. Try to get this done by no later than Friday, September 12th.


Juniors and Senior Talent Search students, October 10th we will be visiting the campus at Oregon State University in Corvallis. Please sign up with Mr. Winberg in room 137 if you are interested in going.

Native American Youth Association:
Our first meeting is September 8, 08 Monday at lunch in Mrs. Yasana's room 242 Main. We will have something for dessert- something sweet and something healthy to eat! Bring a friend-- New students to MHS- Come meet Elliott Aurdahl, our President for the 2008-09 school year. Meet the other officers and members -find out what offices are still available to fill. Students- There will be a meeting for those students interested in travleing to Costa Rica during June of 2009 on Wednesday, September 10th in Mr. Montiel's room. The meeting will begin at 11:35 so bring a lunch and plan to stay throught the lunch time. Those students that already signed up in the Spring need to also attend.
